Day-by-day itinerary

Welcome to Togo!
Upon your arrival at Lomé airport, you are welcomed by our local team, who accompanies you to your hotel.
Your coordinator guide then presents you with your tour itinerary and provides you with the practical information necessary for the smooth running of your stay.

Visit to Lomé
After breakfast, you set off to discover Lomé, capital of Togo, where modernity and traditions coexist daily. Your visit begins at the great Assiganmé market, an essential place in local life, where you discover the famous Nana Benz, these businesswomen renowned for their activity in the printed fabric trade. You continue your exploration at Lomé's craft market, a place conducive to discovering local expertise and buying souvenirs. You observe artisans at work and discover different traditional techniques, namely batik, woodcarving, engraving and weaving. An opportunity to appreciate the diversity of Togolese craft creations. Your journey then takes you to the fetish market, where you discover traditional pharmacopoeia and certain practices linked to local beliefs. You also set out to discover the historical and cultural heritage of Lomé, through several emblematic places in the capital, notably Liberty Square, Independence Square and the national arts museum.
Finally, you reach the fishing port of Lomé, where you observe the activity of fishermen and discover another facet of daily Togolese life.

The history of slavery in Agbodranfo
This morning, you set off to discover Agbodrafo, a former Portuguese city that has become a peaceful small town, located between Lake Togo and the ocean, about thirty kilometers from Lomé.
Once a slave trading port, Agbodrafo was part of the region historically known as the "Slave Coast". The city retains several remnants of this painful past, which bear witness to the history of the slave trade in Togo.
You will discover in particular the slave house (Woold Home) and the chained well, two places of memory that invite you to better understand this period of history. This visit is a moment charged with emotion, in contact with a historical heritage that recalls a significant page in the region's past.

Glidji Cultural Village
Today, you head towards the cultural village of Glidji, located a few kilometers from Aného, for an immersion in the traditions and daily life of the Guin people, also called Gès, originally from Ghana.
Every year, in the month of September, the Guin celebrate the traditional festival Epé-Ekpé, an important cultural event in Togo, marked by the ceremony of taking the sacred stone. You spend a good half day meeting and exchanging with the locals, an opportunity to share moments of their daily life and better understand their customs.
Outside of this traditional festival period, you will have the opportunity to attend a vodoun ceremony, a spiritual practice deeply rooted in local traditions.
With a bit of luck, you may also meet the supreme traditional chief of the Guin of Glidji, to whom you will pay a courtesy visit.
At the end of the day, you return to Aného to spend another night in the same hotel.

Have a good trip!
You head back to Lomé, where you enjoy your final moments in Togo. You take a detour to the border with Ghana to soak up the local atmosphere, before continuing with a pleasant beach walk.
You then have lunch at a traditional maquis, an opportunity to share one last convivial moment around local cuisine.
After lunch, you enjoy a final stroll through the streets of Lomé before heading to the airport for your return flight, marking the end of your stay in Togo.
